Abstract

The review highlights The Constitutional Interpretation of Electoral Justice in Mexico, by Carlos Alfredo de los Cobos Sepúlveda, as a rigorous study of electoral justice from a constitutional perspective. The book examines the historical and legal evolution of electoral institutions and the manner in which federal courts have interpreted and applied electoral law. It offers a theoretical analysis of the main models of legal interpretation and argumentation, linking them to the study of key rulings of the Electoral Tribunal of the Federal Judicial Branch. It also analyzes the jurisprudential lines developed between 1996 and 2024 in contexts of high political complexity. The review emphasizes that the work successfully bridges legal theory and judicial practice, providing rational and institutional responses to the resolution of political-electoral disputes in Mexico.
